Bassey Jeremiah Ukang
Bassey Jeremiah Usang is the visionary CEO of GEOANALTECH, a leading NGO platform dedicated to advancing geospatial analytics, data-driven decision-making, and capacity building for sustainable development across Africa. With over seven years of expertise in humanitarian data systems, health informatics, and monitoring & evaluation (M&E), Bassey drives GEOANALTECH’s mission to empower communities through innovative tech education, "Tech Education for All," and strategic interventions in public health, disaster preparedness, and institutional strengthening.
His leadership has spearheaded transformative projects, including national data quality assessments, GIS-based service mapping, and Train-the-Trainer programs that have equipped over 500 professionals in tools like DHIS2, QGIS, Power BI, and Python. Prior to leading GEOANALTECH, Bassey held pivotal roles in USAID/PEPFAR-funded initiatives, such as Strategic Information Officer at the Centre for Clinical Care and Clinical Research Nigeria (CCCRN) on the THRIVE Project and Society for Family Health (SFH) on the ICHSSA 3 Project.
Basseys academic foundation includes an M.Sc. in Health Economics (expected 2026) from Federal University Dutse, a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science from Bayero University Kano, and a B.Agric in Fisheries from the University of Maiduguri. He holds numerous certifications from the University of Washington and USAID covering humanitarian information management and implementation science.
