Seyi Abolarin
Seyi Abolarin is an Information Management and MEAL Professional with 7+ years of experience advancing data systems, GIS, and research-driven solutions across humanitarian and development sectors. He has worked in hard-to-reach and high-risk areas across Nigeriaโs Northwest, Northeast, South, East, and West, providing technical support to programs in over 30 states.
He played a major supervisory and product-ownership role during the development of the National Orphans and Vulnerable Children Management Information System (NOMIS), deploying it nationwide across all PEPFAR-funded and locally funded NGOs, ensuring harmonized reporting and accountability.
Seyi is recognized for building centralized information management systems that automate reporting, strengthen donor compliance, and accelerate evidence-based decision-making. His leadership improved reporting timelines from 25% to nearly 95%, enabling faster beneficiary tracking and more strategic program delivery.
He has advanced expertise in Python, PowerBI, ActivityInfo, Kobo Toolbox, NAGIS, RedRose, GIS (ArcGIS and QGIS), PostgreSQL, DHIS2 configuration and deployment, NOMIS, OpenMRS, and LAMISPlus, leveraging APIs for seamless data integration, real-time retrieval, and automated beneficiary list generation.
Seyi has managed programs funded by PEPFAR (USAID, CDC, DOD), MSF, Global Emergency Response Fund (GERF), European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO), European Union (EU), and Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), implementing initiatives in HIV/AIDS, OVC, GBV, COVID-19, Maternal Child Health, and Emergency response and interventions across livelihoods, protection, WASH, Humanitarian Mine Action (HMA), and Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM).
He has gained valuable work-related experience working with leading International development and humanitarian NGOs such as Jhpiego, Palladium International, and the Danish Refugee Council, while providing continuous site and remote technical support and working closely with national NGOs and government stakeholders of different Agencies and Ministries.
As a mentor, he has trained professionals across Africa, building capacity in information management, Data Analytics, GIS, and evidence-based programming.
